Baliwag
MARIELLE R. BALIWAG
Marielle R. Baliwag is a Research Associate under the GIZ-funded project, “Modelling CIS Application in the Agriculture and Fisheries Sector through Tripartite Collaborations (SUC-NGA-LGU) in Region II, Northern Philippines”. Prior to this role, she contributed to a project focused on the development of payment for ecosystem service (PES) mechanism in Barobbob watershed in Nueva Vizcaya. Marielle earned her bachelor's degree in Economics with a specialization in Environmental Economics from the University of the Philippines Los Baños. Her research interests revolve around the economic valuation of natural resources and the environment.

This action research will design a PES mechanism that is specific to the needs and context of the Barobbob watershed stakeholders to be successful and contribute to the enrichment of the PES experience in the Philippines.
