Lyra Mae A. Puno is a Research Associate under the GIZ-funded project, “Modelling CIS Application in the Agriculture and Fisheries Sector through Tripartite Collaborations (SUC-NGA-LGU) in Region II, Northern Philippines”. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Forestry, specializing in Social Forestry and Agroforestry, in University of the Philippines - Los Banos. Since 2023, she has been working with the Non-Timber Forest Products - Exchange Programme initially as a student intern turned consultant. She has been interested in development work in the areas of sustainable forest management, indigenous peoples and local communities’ rights and access to resources.
