Improve the value of information flows between PAGASA and key decision makers involved in managing climate and weather risk of small holder farmers

This project is one of the components of the research program entitled "Resource Inventory, Valuation and Policy in Ecosystem Services under Threat (Re-INVEST): The Case of the West Philippine Sea" which will focus on developing physical and monetary accounts using exchange and welfare values for coastal resources and ecosystem services, and shall also demonstrate the use of physical and monetary accounts for policy-making and decision analysis.

This project will provide maps of vulnerabilities and risks of the province based on different scenarios. Impacts of forest fragmentation in relation to multi-hazard vulnerability including the complications of Covid-19 will be investigated.

Assess the economic benefits of bio-resources, recreational ecosystem services, and passive use values in Bataan National Park to develop policy options for access and benefit-sharing (ABS) and payment for ecosystem services (PES) mechanisms.
