Christian Ray C. Buendia is a Project Technical Assistant V under the Natural Capital Accounting of Coastal and Marine Ecosystems in the West Philippine Sea Project. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of the Philippines Los Baños, where he also finished his master’s degree in development communication. He previously worked as a writer and researcher for a nongovernmental organization that implements integrated development programs in indigenous communities.
