The Interdisciplinary Studies Center for Integrated Natural Resources and Environment Management (INREM) at the University of the Philippines Los BaƱos (UPLB) has organized the Third International Conference on Integrated Natural Resources and Environment Management (INREM 2021) last November 17-19, 2021 via online platform.

With the theme ā€œAdvancing Ecosystems Restoration, Resilience and Sustainable Development through INREM,ā€ the conference gathered academics, researchers, and practitioners from Southeast Asia, Europe, and America in plenary talks, workshops, parallel sessions, and poster presentations who shared their knowledge and experiences on mainstreaming INREM in local governance and sustainable development.

Objectives

The objectives of the 3rd International Conference on INREM are as follows:

  1. Facilitate sharing of ideas and experiences on ecosystem restoration, resilience-building and sustainable development of natural resources in the Asia-Pacific region;
  2. Synthesize knowledge on integrated natural resources and environment management (INREM) of lake and river basins, landscapes and seascapes, small islands, and rural-urban areas and their interrelationships; and
  3. Establish networks and Communities of Practice on INREM in the Asia-Pacific region.
