The University of the Philippines Los Baños Interdiscplinary Studies Center for Integrated Natural Resources and Environment Management (UPLB IdSC-INREM) launched the Second International Conference on Integrated Natural Resources and Environment Management (INREM 2019) last November 20 - 22, 2019 at the Philippine International Convention Center in Pasay City, Philippines.
The conference, with the theme "Strengthening local governance for sustainable integrated natural resources and environment management," has gathered a diverse set of researchers and members of the academe in engaging with the different sessions, talks, and presentations.
INREM 2019 is organized by the University of the Philippines Los Baños, the College of Forestry and Natural Resources, the Interdisciplinary Studies Center on INREM, and the Commission on Higher Education. It was co-organized by the University of the Philippines Resilience Institute, Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Thunen Research Institute, Landscape Forestry in the Tropics, Tan Yan Kee Foundation, Inc., and the Forest Foundation Philippines.
