Dr. Wilfredo M. Carandang is a Professor in the University of the Philippines Los Banos, College of Forestry for the past 43 years teaching and doing research and extension works on Forest and Landscape Restoration, Plantation Forestry, Forest Tree Improvement and Agroforestry. He is a Scientist II of the UP Science Productivity System for six years, and the holder of the One UP Professorial Chair in Forest Landscape Restoration. Dr. Carandang is a Licensed Professional Forester topping the Forestry Licensure Examination in 1981. He is currently the Executive Director of the Southeast Asian Network of Agroforestry Education, and the Chairperson of the Task Force on Soil and Vegetation Monitoring of the Acid Deposition Monitoring of East Asia (EANET).
